Opening Up the Space
Sometimes, the biggest changes begin by taking everything back to its bare structure.
This week, the renovation moved upward to the mezzanine floor.
The team tore down the existing walls, removing the enclosed sections that once divided
the upper level and revealing a much more open view of the entire space.
The old railings along the mezzanine floor and staircase have also been removed.
Without them, the outlet now looks raw, exposed, and completely different from the space
we first stepped into.
At this stage, it may seem as though more is disappearing than being built.
But every wall and railing removed has a purpose.
We are clearing away the limitations of the old layout so that a new experience
can take shape without compromise.
From the ground floor, we can now see how the two levels will eventually connect.
The openness gives us a clearer sense of the outlet's scale and allows us to begin
imagining how visitors will move, explore, and discover what awaits on every level.
The space is still filled with exposed concrete, loose wiring, temporary lights,
and the marks left behind by demolition.
It is far from finished, but for the first time, the true potential of the interior
is beginning to reveal itself.
Before we can add the details that will define CAW Experience,
we first have to create the freedom to build them.
The barriers are coming down. The vision is opening up. See you in VLOG #005.
